A frontline aspirant for the Kaduna State House of Assembly on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Anthony Iliya Timbuark has said he is motivated by his passion to serve humanity, and desire to give his constituents qualitative representation they have been yearning for.
The aspirant is warming up to represent Zonkwa Constituency.
Timbuark who made the remarks in an expression of interest statement issued on Monday in Kaduna, said the decision to vie for the office was informed by the out come of his consultation with families, friends and associates.
The statement signed by the aspirant also stated that “After due consultation with family, friends, political associates, constituents and stakeholders – I am glad to announce my intention to contest for the position of Member, Kaduna State House of Assembly representing the good people of Zonkwa Constituency on the platform of our great party, All Progressives Congress, APC,.
“It wasn’t an easy decision for me to undertake, but I am motivated by my passion to serve humanity, and desire to give my constituents qualitative representation that they have been yearning for.
“In the course of my consultations, people shared different opinions, some encouraging, others totally against my aspiration as they consider politics a dirty game.
“For how long shall we allow the “dirty few” to decide the direction of our collective destiny, he asked.
Timbuark further stated that “Beloved constituents, my esteemed friends, the burden of leadership is heavy and I am ready to carry it by the grace of God. I am convinced beyond all reasonable doubt that we will add value to the system and give the good people of Zonkwa constituency a new deal, we trust God to help us do things differently in other to give our people adequate representation.
“Let me try to answer a question here that I have often been asked. why APC in a region that is known to be PDP strong hold?
“Well, I am a firm believer of democracy as a tool to deliver good governance to the people and that has to come vie a political party, I have find expression and opportunities in the APC fold. In Nigeria, political parties are a vehicle that politicians use to attain political office. The vehicle could be a Toyota, Honda or a Mercedes Benz, which ever they decide to enter they hope to be taking to their desired destination. In my opinion, the brand of vehicle taking is not as important as the driver. I will be more comfortable to ride with a good driver in a Toyota than be with a bad driver in a Ferrari.
“Furthermore, recent events have shown that our people are too sophisticated to be configured to vote along party lines. As we approach the general elections, I trust the enlightened, exposed and dynamic good people of Zonkwa Constituency, to go for competence other than party platform. As in all political parties, it has a collection of both the good, the bad and the ugly. It is the onerous responsibility of the electorate to identify the good ones in all platforms and elect them to represent them.
We are a new breed politicians without greed coming out with a NEW DEAL, having a kingdom mindset with an understanding that we are Christ Ambassadors sent out in the market place to represent God.
We therefore solicit for your kind support in our aspiration to represent our people for God and humanity. Indeed the Kajju,Atyab and Anghan nations need to take their proper place in Kaduna State and by extension “the Nation at large”.
“We wish to call on all to look beyond party borders and consider candidates track record of integrity, service and capacity as you make your choice on whom to vote.
“Kindly note that quality representation will be provided ultimately by the elected member not party.
“We shall go about our campaigns in Peace with decorum and respect. We wish to call on our teeming supporters and well wishers to please do same”, he stated.
