There was gridlock in the ancient city of Zaria, this came as the result of a wedding fatiha of the former Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
The former APC youth leader, Umar Yahya took second wife in style.
The wedding Fatiha of Mallam Umar Yahya and Safiyya Sa’eed Kasim which took place at No 76 Chief Imam of Zazzau House And/Juma’a Zaria City draws personalities cut across the State and political divides.
Among the dignitaries at the event were the Council Chairmen of Lere, Kagarko, Zaria and a two time Kaura LG Chairman, Barr. James Kanyip, Mock Kure, state Publicity Secretary R-APC Kaduna State, Vice Chancellor Gurara Furum and Zonkwa House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Iliya Timbuark amongst several others.
Fielding question from Journalists at the wedding ceremony, Vice Chancellor Gurara furum, Hon. Vincent Bodam said, “we are here in solidarity for our detribalize brother who have identify with us from Southern Kaduna. He is a bridge builder and a symbol of humanity.
Also, Iliya Timboark, Zonkwa House of Assembly hopeful said, “I have known the groom, Umar Yahya for the past 19 years, Yahya, is an astute politician who harbours no bitterness or any political coloration to his style of politics.”
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive of PACE Konzult and a media guru, Mr. Jotham Ayuba said, “Mallam Umar was someone I met through a brief introduction from Cafra Caino. I saw a young man that was passionate about Nigeria and Kaduna state. A young man I can easily relate to when it comes to the ‘not too young to run’ bill. Congratulations, Mallam Umar. Your style of politics is a lesson and a blessing to the next generation”.
