I Walked Out Of EFCC Event, because el-Rufai Is Not Fits To Commission Its Office-Shehu Sani

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Dept, Senator ShehuSani on Thursday walked out of the official function of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Kaduna.

He said, he had to walk out of the function because of the invitation of Governor Nasir el-Rufai to commission the EFCC office.

It was an event of the official commissioning of the Kaduna zonal office of the EFCC and the stakeholders engagement session of the Commission in Kaduna.

He told Journalists that he had to walked out of the EFCC event in “objection to invitation of Governor Nasir Elrufai.”

Senator Shehu sani who was sighted driving away from the gate by security operatives and some Journalists, explained his turning back.

He said, “I honour the invitation to launch the zonal office of the EFCC and to participate in a stakeholder’s forum. I don’t think someone invited in this event fits in to the philosophy and principles of the EFCC”

“And I don’t know how the EFCC can squarely investigate corruption cases in Kaduna with some of this character cutting the tape of their new abode.” He said.
