Chris Mba, a well-known Nigerian pop singer, has passed away due to heart disease.
…Mba was signed to Premier Records and was popular during the 1980s for his unique jerry curl hairstyle and hit songs such as ‘Funky Situation,’ ‘Baby Don’t Cry,’ ‘Making my Way,’ and ‘Love Everlasting.’
His death was confirmed by his wife on social media.
Mba died on Wednesday night at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, where he was receiving treatment.
In August 2018, Mba performed at an evening of tributes organized by the Copyright Society of Nigeria in memory of the late Ras Kimono.
