Tension has enveloped Jos, the Plateau state capital, Friday, following killing of 12 persons along Rukuba raod Thursday night, by yet to be identified gunmen.
The police public relations officers of the Plateau state police command DSP Terna Tyopev, said will give details of the incident later.
Multiple eyewitness said rampaging youth from Rukuba road and Gadabiu are protesting the killing of the 12 persons, thereby destroying property.
It was learnt the 9 out of the 12 victims are of the same family.
As a result of the development, traders at Faringada, Gadabiu and the Jos main market also known as “Terminus market” have deserted their business places for fear.
Similarly, private schools within the affected location have also been shut; Jos residents are seen living places of work in drove.
Reports said the angry youth chase out police officers at Gadabiu police out post and set ablaze documents of the police station.
