Sallah: Islamic Cleric Blame Nigerian Fail Economy On Politicians

Chief Imman of Jos Fiber Mosque, who is also the secretary General Jama’atu Nasir Islam (JNI) Shiek Khalid Aliyu has blamed the current economic challenges on lack of political will by politicians not willing to develop the country Nigeria.

“Nigerian politicians are acting drama with our economy, nothing seems to be working, infact the drama is tragedy drama, their children are schooling overseas, but they use our youth who are mates to their children as political thugs, influence them with stipends.”

The cleric stated this shortly after he deliver his Eil-El Kabir sermon Tuesday, at Jos Fiber Mosque, to mark 2018 Eil-El Kabir celebrations; he cautioned Nigerians on spreading hate speeches.

He expressed disappointments in some clergymen who preach inciting sermon that could spark off fresh violence

“How can a cleric preach and tell his congression to crush fellow human, it is diabolical, if religious leader are not carefure with what they say during sermon they will set this country on fire.”

On the wave of defection by top politicians in Nigerian, he said the said politicians who have defected without good reason dose such on self-centered manner.

“90 percent of Nigerian politicians do not do what they say in to the public, including the recent defection, to me, I feel it’s for their personal gains, Nigerian are suffering, from non avialibility of social amenities, people use their hard earn monthly take home pay to get what government is suppose to provide to the citizenry, social amenities like water, light and other basic needs are been painfully provided by individuals, it is indeed sad.”

He advocated Muslims community all over Plateau state to be peaceful while they celebrate the Sallah.

On his part, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Plateau state, of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Hussianin Halilu Pai, said the significant of Eil-El Kabir was obedient to the creator.

The INEC commissioner who also prayed at the Jos Fiber Mosque, urged Nigerians to be obedient to every constituted authorities, because they are ordained from God.

Mallam Halilu assured Plateau citizens that his office will uphold the rules establishing INEC to conduct credible, free and fair elections in the state come 2019, he however call on politicians to be peaceful in their conducts.

SECURITY

The Commandant Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp NSCDC Plateau stat command Solomon Olasupo in an interview with Journalists, said 2000 police officers were deployed to ensure a hitch-free Eil-El Kabir celebrations.

The NSCDC boss who said had gone on the spot assessment of the security situation in Jos metropolis, affirmed that no rancour was recorded during the Sallah celebrations in the state.

There were a combined security operatives seen staged at most insecurity flash points within Jos.

The police command in Jos through a press relese by the spokesman of the command DSP Terna Tyopev had ban operations of commercial tricycle within Jos and Bukuru metropolis on first day of Sallah, till Wednesday.

Other security flash points routes were also barricaded during the prayer times for the 2018 Eil-El Kabir celebrations.

According to the police press release, recreational parks will be opened for customers, but with strict security checks at entrance and exit gates.
