Rocicrucian Order, AMORC ) has warned Nigerians against behaviours that add no value on the nation’s growth and advised citizens of the country not to engage in acts that would be inimical to development of the nation.
The organization charged the nation’s political leaders to emulate the kind of leadership qualities shown by Nigerian’s founding fathers like Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo and Alhaji Tafa Balewa, to enable the country bounced back.
Honorary Grand Master Fr. Dr. Kenneth Idiodi, gave the charge while speaking at the 47 Eastern Regional Rotational Conclave which took place Saturday in Calabar.
Speaking on the theme,”Practical Rosicrucian Tools For Nation Building, Idiodi stated that hope is not lost despite the turbulent times and econmic challenges faced by Nigerian.
“All hope is not lost stressing that the situation was not completely hopeless and assured Nigerian’s of the good times that await them in less that no time especially if the right thing is done.
“Let’s every man take responsibility of our actions. It’s our actions that brought the nation to where we are at a moment.
“If the next generation of leaders take responsibility for their actions, and imbibe discipline, selflessness and efficiency, the country might as well be moving in the right direction.
*We are all involved and we must take the blame. If we take responsibility for our actions, we will make progress,”Idiodi stated.
Also Speaking at the occasion, lecturer at the occasion Mr. Anthony Okorie called Nigeria’s citizen to begin to work towards national development to assist the nation recover it’s lost glory.
The lecturer who said that Nigerians have themselves to blame for the nation’s economic misfortune stressing that things were never done right as done by the nation’s founding fathers.
Okorie urged Nigerians to engage themselves in hardwork, shun religious intolerance,ethnic bigotry,accommodate one another nothwitstanding the ethno-religious difference that exist.
The lecturer maintained that for any meaningful development to take place, Nigerians including those in high places of authority should have a mindset of discharging whatever responsibility assigned to them delligently to see if they won’t be a turnaround.
Okorie maintained that the nation has every potential to recover it’s lost glory if everyone turn a new leaf and work conscientiously towards making the country great.
He maintained that the econmic hardship, insecurity, banditry, power failure, poverty and all the misfortune faced by the nation would become a thing of the past if the people apply new approach of discharging thier responsibilities.
