The Minority Whip of the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Umar Barde on Teusday celebrated his 50th golden Jubilee Birthday by donating foot items worth millions of naira to Six Orphanage Homes in Kaduna.
The lawmaker, who is representing Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency, from Kaduna State, under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) visited the orphanage homes to celebrate with the orphans on the occasion of his Birthday.
He said, “I decided to celebrate my Golden Jubillee Birthday with orphans to appreciate what God has done to me all the years.”
“They deserve a future like every other child, adding, we owe it to them; to support them and make their lives useful and beneficial to the society,” he said.
According to him, “what we can do is to give them hope, and to make it possible for them to realise their dreams. These are all handsome and beautiful children, when you see their faces you remember the ones you have at home.”
He added that; “the society should also be aware that any child can fall into this circumstance, and that is why I am here to celebrate my Birthday with them. I am here to give them hope that they can grow to be better than me.”
“I am grateful to God for protecting and guiding me all these years. It has been Him and I return thanks to Him,” he said.
Matrons, the Children of all the six orphanage homes visited, thanked the Minority whip for choosing to celebrate his Birthday with them, and prayed for God’s continues blessings upon him.
Children of the Orphanage homes added colour to the event with singing Birthday Songs to the Minority Whip.
