A frontline Presidential aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming Presidential elections 2019, who is also a former governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido has said he will not leave PDP even if he losses nomination of the party for Presidential race.
“All of us vying for Presidency in PDP are equal and are capable of ruling Nigeria as President, 2019 Presidency is not just about me (Sule Lamido) we are all working for a just and a common goal to salvage the country, so if I’m not made candidate of our great party, I will support whoever emerges as flag bearer for PDP.”
Mr. Lamido made the disclosure in an interview with Journalists in Jos, at the residence of Gen Jeremiah Useni, when he paid him solidarity visit, shortly after he declared his intension to contest Presidency.
He had earlier paid visit at the PDP Secretariat in Jos on Wednesday, to inform party faithfuls of his Presidential ambition; Kakaki-Reporters learnt that Sule Lamido had visited 29 state on his Presidential aspiration.
The PDP Presidential aspirant assured that PDP will reclaim it mandate at the Presidency, which he said APC stole in 2015 during general elections, he said APC are liars.
“All Nigerians are aware that the ongoing APC administration are ruling Nigerians on falsehood, they (APC) are all liars. That is why we are all out here to reclaim our mandate that was stolen from us APC.”
Commenting further on the promises made to Nigerians by the ruling All Progressive Congress APC in Nigeria when they took over power, the former governor of Jigawa insisted that APC are liars; he said APC government all over the federation has disappointed Nigerians, therefore they should be voted out everywhere in the country.
He debunked rumours making around that he (Sule Lamido) was been sponsored for the Presidential race by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
“I was in PDP before former President Olusegun Obasanjo became President, I do not have a godfather, but I respect everyone in the our party, we have the same aspiration as as PDP members.”
Speaking on insecurity in Nigeria, the PDP Presidential aspirant said his administration shall end herder/farmer clashes when elected as President of Nigeria.
Meanwhile the PDP party officials in Plateau state had welcomed Mr. Sule Lamido and his entourage to the state, and pledged the party support to his aspiration.
The party state chairman Hon Damishi Sango onbehalf of the party Secretariat told the Presidential aspirant to strive toward making a different when emerged as the party candidate.
On his part, media officer of Sule Lamido campaign organization Mallam Mubarak Isa, earlier in a chat with press men at the PDP party Secretariat, call on Nigerian youth to support the candidature of Sule Lamido.
According to Mubarak, Sule Lamido is peaceful man, that has designed plans to developed Nigeria economically, and the youth will be fully involved in governance.
