The Chairman of Qua’an-Pan local government area in Plateau state, Hon. Isaac Kyale Kwallu, has said his administration will not borrow funds to execute contracts.
He also said non of the projects kick started by his administration will be abandoned.
“Since the coming on board of my administration more than a year today, we have not obtain any loan from any bank to execute our projects, we rather settled contract sum left by my predecessors.
“I can assure you members of the press, that my administration will not embark on any white elephant jobs that will not be completed. All the ongoing contracts those to be executed now and in future are well planned for, we have our funds ready for projects,” he said.
The council chairman made the discloure while Swearing-in 12 Special Advisers and a suppervisory counsellor at the council Secretariat, Ba’ap.
The council boss also commissioned the Qua’an-Pan Innovation Hub, an Online link which will assist the local government run an e-administration, devoid of corruption. The council boss stressed.
He said the new technology inovation will help tackle joblessness “the hub intends to challege youth at the grassroots to be creative by leveraging technology to provide solutions to challenges facing the locality.
According to Hon Kwallu, the “Qua’an-Pan Innovation Hub” shall enable indigents of the local government in diaspora assess activities of his administration Online, anywhere from the entire globe.
He explained that, the Qua’an Pan innovations hub is the first of it kind among the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
The local government chairman also flagged off construction of a 2.5 killometer road from the local government secretariat linking parts of the council, which he said will cost the local government the sum of 170 million naira.
There was also an unveiling of the official vehicles and Commercial buses tag (QP Line) while will be an inter State commercial transport services to boost revenue generation of the council.
Hon Kwallu told Journalists that the purchase of the said vehicles cost the council the sum of 62 million Naira only.
Speaking on crime rate in the local government, the council boss revealed that his has drastically reduced Criminality, because his administration introduced special Neighborhood watch with security experts in collaboration with citizens ensuring safety of people.
He however blamed some of the Criminality to youth restiveness, particularly among idol persons, who indulge in consuming hard substance that have been prohibited.
He charged the newly sworn-in advisers to live to the expectations of the citizenry “” I urge you to respect the oath being administered today to guarantee ground for better management of human and material resources of the council. ”
The 12 special advisers who took the oath of office included, Hon. Maanret Dagogot, Musa Magayaki, Fabian Kefas, Labaran Talle, Bala Chinwaar, Shittu Bwall, Mark Ndelong, Alhaji Isa Musa, Rita Buba, Paulina Chabelep Alhaji Modibo Kwande and Nicodemus N. Daniang. With a suppervisory Councillor Barr. Dasok Jonas Koplang.
It was observed that Hon Isaac Kyale Kwallu, is the 30th council chairman of the local government since it creation in December 1983.
