The Emir of Wase, Alhaji Mohammed Sambo, has said until perpetrators of attacks on citizens Plateau state are apprehend and prosecuted to serve as deterrent, the act might continued.
The Emir of Wase who is the Chairman Jama’atu Nasir Islam (JNI) and leader of all Muslims in the state, made the suggestion to governor Caleb Mutfwang at government House Jos on Monday, when he led a delegation of Muslim faithfuls on condolence visit; following Killing of citizens late last year by suspeçted herders.
The traditional ruler stressed further that anyone found wanting in the crisis should not be speared.
The Emir called on governor Mutfwang to reverse the native tax payment of all citizens to enable government identify intruders who have been allegedly forcefully occupying lands belongings to the natives.
Alhaji Mohammed Sambo, expressed sadness over persistent attacks on the State over two decades, but no individual have been prosecuted.
Responding, governor Caleb Mutfwang appreciated, the Muslim community for the show of concern on the travails of his government.
Governor Mutfwang used the avenue and disabused the minds of Muslims, whom governor Mutfwang said have been insinuating that he do not like the faith.
“Our administration do not discriminate, we shall ensure that no body is above the law, we will uphold justice to all, we will ensure that perpetrators are not only arrested but prosecuted according to the laws of land.”
There were special prayers for the reposed of the souls of the deceased, the injured and for the total healing of the land.
Shehu Umar, secretary of the Muslim community, and Shkih Aliyu Aliyu, Chairman Izala, were among the Clerics who led the prayers.
