According to a press statement released from the office of His Royal Highness Dr. David Wodi Tukura, the Aguma of Bassa Turunku Chiefdom, and signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media Publicity Malam Jibrin Gimba, said, the Nasarawa State University Keffi set to confer on the Royal Father the ‘Excellence in Community Security Award’.
The award which scheduled to hold on 2nd of May 2023, will also have other notable personalities to be honored alongside and they includes; His Excellency, Engr. AA Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Rt. Solomon Lalong, the Executive Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency Alhaji Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra FNSA., Chairman National Population Commission among others.
“HRH Dr. David Wodi Tukura, the Aguma Bassa of Turunku Chiefdom wishes to inform all sons and daughters of Turunku Chiefdom and Bassas across Nasarawa State that the Nasarawa State University Keffi is conferring on him the ‘Excellence in Community Security Award’ scheduled to hold on May 2nd, 2023 at the Assembly Hall of the Nasarawa State University Keffi.
“HRH would be receiving the award alongside other notable dignitaries mainly His Excellency Engr. A.A Sule the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency RT. Hon. Solomon Lalong Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Alhaji Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra FNSA., Chairman National Population Commission”, it said.
The statement added that the anticipated honour for his Royal Highness is an indication that the Bassa nation is being recognized by the people of Nasarawa State and and in Nigeria at large.
“This is not only an honour for His Royal Highness, but an indication that the Bassa Nation is being recognised by the people of Nasarawa State and in Nigeria”.
