As a means of making ladies financially independent, thirty three female tailors, make up artists and cake Bakers have been given more equipments and cash to boost their businesses.
Wife of the national legislator representing Pankshin Kanke/Kanam federal constituency Haji Lalila Gagdi has provided started parks and cash donations to the beneficiaries hail from the three local government areas of the constituency, in central Plateau state on Saturday.
The beneficiaries were restrained in their respective businesses to cope with modern skills, facilitated by Gagdi foundation.
Mrs Lalila Gagdi used her husband’s foundation (Gagdi Support Foundation) and empowered the women.
Hajiya Lalila Gagdi in an address during the presentation, tasked all beneficiaries to make good use of the equipments to be more financially independent, and assist others.
According to her, that was how she began a petty saloon business, and have become an entrepreneur.
She called on the women to support one another and thrive in entrepreneurship.
An APC party stalwart Nde John Gobak, and Sadaat Garga among many who spoke separately in good will massages at the presentation of the started parks in Jos, commended the gesture, said it will boost the income of the persons and families.
On his part, husband of the facilitator of the equipments, Hon Yusuf Gagdi, told the gathering that Gagdi Support Foundation have been silently assisting humanity a lot since it creation
According to the lawmaker, between January and June this year, 2024, the foundation had upset medical bills of many persons amounting to 16.7 million naira.
He assured that the Foundation shall continued to empower and support the vulnerable in the society.
Beneficiaries of the started parks while speaking with Journalists appreciated the gesture done them, and prayed God to increase the facilitator abundantly.
