Hundreds of Kaduna residents on Sunday took to the western express road to protest the abduction of two Pregnant Women among others.
The protesters, mostly from Nariya Community in Kaduna metropolis came out in large number to protest against the incessant kidnappings of their people by Gunmen.
They blocked the busy Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way around 8: am to show their anger .
The protesters said kidnapping has now become a daily routine in the community with kidnappers operating with impunity in the area.
It could be recalled that the two women and three men were abducted in their houses around 2 am on sunday.
A residents of the area who pleaded for anonymity said the saw the kidnappers with guns.
” I saw them with guns because they attacked my neighbours house and took away two pregnant women, other other women from another house and a man.
“we are tired of kidnappers operating in the community.
” We are only blocking the road to drew the attention of the government on our plight. We want the governor to come to our aid” he said.
Meanwhile, teargas was use by the security operatives to disperse the aggrieved protester.
State Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Yakubu Sabo couldn’t be reached for comment.
Only on Saturday, Gunmen killed two persons including an expatriate and kidnapped three other persons during at attacked on a holiday resort in troubled Kajuru local government of the State.
