Hon. Iliya Wilson, a cheiftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was on Saturday coronated with a traditional Chieftaincy Title of “Wakilin Kudu Gwong” by the Gwong Traditional Council in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State
The epoch event which took place at the Palace in Kagoma attracted dignitaries from different Political diverse, traditional rulers and business magnates both within and outside the State.
Conferring the title, the Paramount ruler of Gwong Chiefdom, His Highness, Paul Zakka Wyom (KPOK GWONG), showered praises on Honorable Wilson whom he described as “a rare gem”.
” We expect your type to stand up and tell the world the truth if not we’ll enter into 2023 and go back to where we’re.
” Nigeria is in delima and it is we the masses that caused it but there are ways we can amend,” He said.
He admonished the people to embrace peace, unity in order to fast-track meaningful development and peace in the country.
Responding while fielding question from newsmen shortly after the turbaning, he said his coronation as “Wakilin Kudu Gwong” will serve as a litmus test for him to continue to contribute to the socio-economic and Political growth of Gwong land and by extension Kaduna State.
Wilson appreciated the Kpok Gwong, and the king makers for finding him worthy to be bestowed the Chieftaincy Title and as one of the cabinet members.
The Jema’a/ Sanga PDP House of representative candidate, Hon. Dan Amos who represents the Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Sunday Marshall Katung, said the the selection of Wilson for the Chieftaincy Title was a best choice made by the Paramount ruler.
” Seeing the caliber of people that have come to witness this event, it was obvious you can tell he’s indeed a man of the people.
” In the next few Months or years to come this Chiefdom should maximise your potentials.
He urged the celebrants to mobilize his friends so that they can make a difference in the Chiefdom.
