Ahead of the Kaduna Peoples Democratic Party primary election scheduled to hold today , one of the prominent aspirants , Alhaji Sani Bello has stepped down for Honourable Isa Ashiru ,who appeared to be the preferred choice of many delegates.
According to information gathered from a sources close to Alhaji Sani Bello, the decision to step down was to pave way for Ashiru to emerge as the party’s flag bearer .
Bello ,who is the former Financial Controller for ECOWAS and a strong pillar of PDP in the State , the sources claimed believed that Ashiru is the best candidate among all contestants with a political wealth of experience and popularity across the 23 local government areas of the State .
The source also confirmed that more of aspirants are willing to step down today.
Honourable Isa Ashiru is a former member of House of Representatives and APC governorship candidate in the 2015 election .He came second after Governor Nasiru El-Rufai.
