Kaduna Legislator Debunk Defection Rumors, steps aside from contest

Hon. Labari Tella,  Member representing Jema’a Constituency at the Kaduna State House of Assembly has said he would not contest re-election into the same office come 2019.

 

Tella who made the disclosure on Thursday during an interview with newsmen also refuted rumours of defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

 

The Legislator said haven served three tenures under the platform of PDP since 2007, he was stepping aside to give room for others to contest and maintained that he was he still a loyal member of the party.

 

“For sake of fairness, I want to allow others to vie

for the same position and serve within the same capacity I have done all these years.

 

“I must also clear the rumours making the rounds about my defection that it not true as I still remain a devout member of the PDP,” Tella said.

 

The Legislator, however, stressed that he would continue to work tirelessly in unism for the generality and well-being of the PDP.
