Kaduna Elections: Women, Youths Protest Over SIECOM’s Refusal To Declare Winner

Hundreds of Youths and women in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State took to the street to protest over the refusal of the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIECOM) to announce results of the just concluded May 12th Council elections.
The returning officer who disappeared while election was going on and has not show up to collate result and declare winner of the election, is accused of conspiring with the state Government to thwart the results against the wishes of the people.
Its was reported that, the APC candidate Mr. Charles Danladi lost both his polling Unit and Wasa ward were he hails from.
Our source said the result collated so far shows the PDP Candidate Hon. Samuel Isa Shamaki pulled 20,843 beating his APC rival Hon. Charles Danladi who scored 19,767.
The Returning officer was alleged to have absconded from the local government SIECOM secretariat at about 4p.m on 13/May/2018.
