Lt. General Oladipo Diya, (Rtd), former Governor of Ogun State and Chief of General Staff to General Sani Abacha is dead, the family announces.
He died early this morning at the age of 78.
Abacha jailed him in a phantom coup plot and a day to his execution Abacha died. He was freed by Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar.
Diya had a lot to say but he kept quiet all these while.
