Barring last minute in change of plan, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State will today (Thursday) announce his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Governor, this Newspaper understands have concluded plans to formally announce his defection to the PDP.
It would Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State had on Wednesday dumped the ruling APC to the PDP over lack of internal democracy and division in the APC.
Tambuwal had recently dissolves all his cabinet members in a bit to decamped to the opposition PDP.
A closed associate of the Governor Tambuwal who did want his name mentioned told this Newspaper that “Tambuwal is a member of the PDP and if he hasn’t announced his decamping yet, he will do so between tomorrow and friday.”
He said “Tambuwal is also a front runner Presidential Candidate of the PDP and would not want his campaign to delay any further.”
