For the second time in less than a week, President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with former Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This time, the meeting is also with former governors Dave Umahi (Ebonyi) and Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom).
The three former governors arrived at about 2:33 pm.
Kakaakireporters recall that penultimate Wednesday last week, President Bola Tinubu met immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, former governor of Delta State (1999-2007), James Ibori, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
The trio arrived at the presidential villa at around 4:30pm and were ushered into the President’s office.
Though members of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, Makinde and Wike are considered to be allies of President Tinubu and reportedly played supportive roles to ensure his victory at the February 25, presidential election.
The meeting, sources say may be unconnected to the president’s continued consultation ahead of his cabinet formation.
