Two persons were reportedly shot dead in a fresh attack, in Barkinladi local government area of Plateau state, while another two others sustained various degrees of injuries, and are been hospitalized; police in Plateau state have said, Thursday evening.
“They were then recovered to the General Hospital Barkin Ladi where the doctor on duty confirmed two (2) out of the four (4)victims dead.”
A statement by the Plateau state command of the Nigerian police, through it spokesman DSP Terna Tyopev, revealed in a press text that the incident occurred early hours of Thursday.
“On 06/09/2018 at about 0630hrs, (6:30am) the Plateau State Police Command Jos received a distress call to the effect that unknown gunmen shot some people in Nding Suisut Village of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.”
The incident according to police occurred in insecurity prone Barkinladi local government area of Plateau state, where several people have been killed in recent times unabated.
“Unknown gunmen shot some people in Nding Suisut Village of Barkin Ladi LGA.” Police said.
According to the statement, the two victims who loss their lives have been buried by their relations.
“The family members of those who lost their lives declined autopsy and the corpses were released to them for burial.” It explained.
