The Nigerian Ambassador to Congo, Mrs Deborah Iliya has called on politicians to eschew politics of bitterness and bigotry.
Mrs. Iliya, who was appointed Ambassador to represent Nigerian in congo under President Mohammadu Buhari stated this at Zangon Kataf LG APC Secretariat over the weekend during a thank you visit.
According to her,” Politics of bitterness must be buried. A PDP Man will need someone in APC adding, Politics of castigation will not help us,” She said.
“The bane of our true democracy is not the party but individuals who lavished the country’s resources.
She further disclosed that,” When I was in the transition committee in Kaduna State, we found out that, one person was controlling more than 100 accounts, stressing, this are some of the issues that subject us to suffering.
“We have been subjected to suffering but we have to be patient and diverse means of survival.
Commenting on her appointment, She said that, her appointment came at a time she has resolved not to participate in politics. I never thought of any appointment under this administration.
According to her,” I was the first Woman to be given ambassadorial nominee in Congo.
I thank her constituents who rally round her, during her senatorial context.
” I have resolved to support any good candidate for any political office. I love to build people and I will continue to invest on capital human development.
She promised to use her wealth of experienced to strengthen Nigeria’s relationship with Congo.
She also, Commended President Buhari’s giant stride in fighting corruption and putting measures that will benefit Nigerians,” She added.
