Arrangements are in top gear by the Cross River State Government to sanction motorists operating with forged and fake motor ordinance test MOT documents and parking permit.
The state government also cautioned motorists plying state routes not to patronize unthorise agents who go about with forged, fake MOT and parking permit documents seeking for patronage from unsuspecting members of the public so that they won’t incur the wrath of state government.
Director of Administiion and Head of Traffic Management and Regulatory Agency (TRAMRA) Barr. Effiong Ekpo, cautioned motorists during the official launch and unveiling of motor ordinance test /Parking Permit 2024 which took place at TRAMRA premises in Càlabar yesterday.
In his words the TRAMRA boos said, “I urged all consultants whom we have gone through thier profiles and found them worthy to serve the government in good capacities to put in thier experience and expertise to meet our target in this regards.
“As we unveiled the security document today, I promised all our consultants our support, needed to curb forgery and sale of fake papers by criminals to the public.
“I want also to let you know that I have sent a press release notifying the public, that only papers signed by the head of the agency are to be patronized.
At the closing remarks, state Commissioner for Transportation Pastor Ekpeyong Cobham, warned that motorists who breaks TRAMRA’s law would have thier vehicles impounded, until fines are paid before their vehicles can be release to them.
The Transportation Commissioner said, “It’s mandatory that commercial vehicle owners have to buy motorists ordinance test MOT/ parking permit documents”,As it is one of the ways in which they contribute thier quota towards development of the state.
