Armed bandits have reportedly invaded Kuriga village in Chikun Local Government area shooting sporadically at worshippers during Friday prayers.
A residents who pleaded anonymity disclosed to our correspondent that, “the armed bandits invaded the Community at around 1:30pm during worship hours.”
The resident called on the security operatives to step up their security gatherings toward curtailing the security threats imposed on the people of Birnin Gwari.
“We challenge the security operatives to stop extorting the the common people of our village and do the needful in securing the lives and property of people.
“We’re not longer save here. Armed robbers will come and hold us into ransom without any immediate action taking by the security agencies.
We could not ascertain the number of casualties or deaths as at the time of filling this report.
