The Member representing Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung has described the death of Bishop Joseph Danlami Bagobiri as a great loss to the Nation.

“I received the news of the demise of Most Rev. (Dr) Joseph Danlami Bagobiri, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Tuesday February 27, 2018 with shock.
“Bishop Bagobiri died fighting for justice for the oppressed.
“I am confident Bishop Bagobiri has gone to take his well deserved rest, and the ideals of justice, freedom and fairness he championed while alive, will continue to resonate with all men and women of goodwill.
“Bishop Bagobiri was a leader of all (Catholics and Non Catholics), and we shall continue to remember him for standing in the gap.
“As sad as this particular death is to me, my family and the entire people of my constituency, I celebrate with the Catholic community because our Revered Bishop lived a life of sacrifice to the service of his maker and humanity.
“Bishop was for all and He will continue to remain with us,” he said.
