Beer Parlor Joints Have Invaded Jos-Bishop Kwashi

The Anglican Archbishop of Jos Province in the Church of Nigeria, Bishop Benjamin Kwashi has appeal to Plateau State governor to enact laws that will regulate operation, sales and consumption of alcohol in the state.

The Archbishio who was the guest speaker at an easter rally organized by the Plateau State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said the high number of beer parlors in Jos, the state capital was a source of criminality in the state.

“Beer parlors have invaded residential areas in Jos; if nothing is adequately done, in the few years to come, we will have no place to stay.

“I know of a street here in Jos which has 27 beer parlors, the way out for peace and justice is to arrest criminals of all kind and prosecute them.”
