The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC will resume the collation of results of the Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State which was stop by court order.
Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court in Abuja had stopped INEC from going ahead to collate and announce the results of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
He gave the order while ruling on an exparte application filed by the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Governor of Bauchi state, Mr Mohammed Abubakar.
Justice Ekwo ruled that the exercise should be stopped pending the determination of the substantive suit.
But at the resume of hearing today, Monday reverse himself and Vacate the order stopping INEC from Collating Tafawa Balewa LGA election results.
He said “I never granted any ex-parte order stopping Tafawa Balewa LGA results collation.”
The ruling has now allow INEC to resume collation and declare the winner of the governorship elections in Bauchi State which shows that Bala Mohammed, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is already leading the incumbent governor Mohammed Abubakar of the APC with a wide margin.
