The chief Imam of Jos central mosque in Plateau state, Shiekh Lawal Adam has called on Muslims all over Nigeria to live in Peace with non Muslims.
The Muslim cleric made the call Tuesday in Jos, shortly after conducting prayers at the Alikazuare central eld-praying ground to mark this year’s Eld-El-Fitri.
The chief Imam also prayed for peace of the nation and it citizens.
He tasked the recently sworn in political office holders at all levels to work in accordance with the oaths they have token; and be human in their dealings with the public.
The Muslim cleric also prayed that the prevailing insecurity befalling most parts of the country Nigeria be solved soonest.
Speaking on violence amongst youths, Shiekh Lawal admonished youths to avoid illicit drinks, and be peaceful while celebrating the Eid-El-fitri.
On his part, Chief imam of Nurudeen society of Nigeria, a denominations of Islam, Sheikh Dr. Abdullahim Mohammed Sanusi call on Muslims to be nation boulders.
He lamented increasing insecurity in Nigeria; he call on authority to punish culprits of every civil unrest according to the laws of the land.
The Muslim scholar however call on Muslims to be God fearing, be patience and live peaceful.
He call for the unity of the entire country, irrespective of religion, political, ethnic and regional difference.
Similarly, deputy chief Imam of Jos Central mosque Shiekh Gazali Ismali Adam, reiterated the need for unity; but call on goverments at all level to be end insecurity through deceive majors.
He call on Muslims to imbibe the culture of charity to the less privilege; practice the region in accordance with it’s teachings of the prophets.
There was tight security at all prayer grounds visited; at the time of filling in this report, the Eld-El-Fitri celebration was peaceful.
A statement by joint security operatives in Jos had ban the use of commercial tricycle, as most major routes were barricaded by armed men.
