38 Year-Old Declares Governorship Interest In Plateau
A 38 year old man, Alex Ladan has declared his intention to contest the forthcoming governorship seat of Plateau state on the platform of the Alliance for New Nigeria ANN, political party has Lion as it logo.
Mr. Ladan stated this Tuesday in Jos, said if elected governor of Plateau state come 2019, his administration will not depend on federal monthly allocation to service the state.
He said he will use the numerous mineral deposits in the state to make the state independent from federation monthly allocations to states.
“Plateau state is blessed with a lots of mineral deposits, if I’m given the opportunity to serve as governor, we will collectively harness the mineral deposits in our state, we are blessed with rocks of different types, and in it are numerous mineral deposits.”
Commenting on the ethnic, tribal and religious difference in the state, the (ANN) governorship aspirant said he will run an all inclusive and a united administration.
“During my administration, there will be no ethnic difference, I intend to run Plateau state as a country, not as a state, there will be no tribal nor religious difference.”
On insecurity, he said his administration will rebuild ravage communities that have suffered violence. “It is possible to rebuild ravage communities with our collective resolve as a people.”
Speaking on his age, Mr Ladan said he is 38 years old, and age should not matter in governance, but integrity, he said he has the capacity to effectively govern Plateau state.
“My age should not discourage electorates, I have what it takes to provide good and purposeful leadership as governor of Plateau state.”
He lamented that successive administration in the state has neglected health care in the rural areas “recent findings has shown that most health personnel are working in the urban areas, and left villages in the hands of primary healthcare.”
He said those blaming past administrations of failures has nothing to offer, hence the blame given “a responsible will of continue to shift blames on what went wrong in the past administration, but will rather execute it programmes.”
The programme was attended by other political parties, with delegation from the 17 local government areas of Plateau.
Market women and artisans who graced the declaration pledged their support to the aspirations of the ANN Plateau governorship aspirant.
