***Urge Nigerians to support Armed Forces Appeal Fund

The All Progressives Congress (APC) join citizens in commemoration of the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, set aside to remember the tremendous services and sacrifices made by our Armed Forces to defend our great nation, Nigeria.

On behalf of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), we celebrate our military for the focus, zeal and dedication displayed toward performing their constitutional roles.

Undoubtedly, Nigeria’s Armed Forces have transformed to one of the most professional, dedicated and battle-ready outfits in the world, fighting terrorism and emerging crimes that threaten our collective peace and safety.

From insurgencies, banditary, insurrection to other crimes in the country, our gallant troops are fighting relentlessly to maintain our territorial integrity, internal peace as well as supporting regional and overseas security efforts.

Our military deserve the commendation and support of Nigerians. They have demonstrated loyalty to the Nigerian flag, commitment to the Nigerian public and defended our democracy.

Sadly, many troops have paid the supreme price so that we can live in peace and safety. Our solemn duty is to remember our departed troops, their families and loved ones in our thougths, prayers and gestures.

We reiterate our call for well-meaning Nigerians to support the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration Emblem and Appeal Fund launched by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, by wearing the emblems and making financial contributions to the Fund to cater to the needs of the widows and children of our departed troops.

Our security challenges may seem daunting, but we assure Nigerians that the President Muhammadu Buhari government will overcome the prevailing insecurity situation soon.

SIGNED:
Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe Ph.D
National Secretary
APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC)
