Cold Weather: Makurdi Residents Remain Indoors

A chilled weather has forced residents of Makurdi, the Benue state capital to remain indoors since second day of January, year 2020.

Weather check on Makurdi town indicate that between, evening and night hours of Wednesday/Thursday morning, weather forecast was between 10 and 14 degree centigrade; which usually stands at 30 and 34 degree centigrade.

Our Correspondent who visited Makurdi reports that, as a result of the chilly weather, residents of the Benue state capital close shop earlier than the normal busy night activities on Wednesday.

Those who are familiar with Makurdi town can testify that the weather within the state is usually warm, and do not require warm clothes.

But due to the sudden changed weather, People were seen in warm clothen, those leaving at outcaste of Makurdi town were using burning fire to warm themselves.

Weather Check in Jos, the Plateau state capital, which is usually very chilly indicate that the cool weather is on increase.

As at Wednesday morning and night weather check in Jos stood at 9 centigrade for more than 6 hours.

According to weather forecasts, the Jos weather on Thursday morning shall be more chilly till the hours of 11:00am between 7 and 12 degree centigrade.
