Zamfara: Shameless Ex- Gov Yari Demands Payment Of Upkeep Allowance Seven Month After Leaving Office
The immediate past governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari has written to his successor, Dr. Bello Mohammed demanding the payment of his outstanding monthly “upkeep allowances” and pension.
The former governor who has just spend seven month outside office, has asked the present Governor to ensure the payment of about N70m as outstanding upkeep allowance and pension for the months of August, September, October, November and December.
Mr. Yari who left the State with horrible security challenges, had before leaving office hurriedly approved the Monthly payment of N10m to former and a pension equivalent to the salary he was receiving while in office.
He told his successor in a letter that the upkeep allowance and pension of the former governor are privileges that cannot be truncated.
