By Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki-

My political party, the only true party in Nigeria, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is 21 years today.

I pray that you shall continue to wax stronger despite the current challenges you face, which is all about time.

You remain the only party that has the downtrodden and poor masses of our country at heart. The mark of tangible infrastructural, human capacity and welfare development of the people you bestowed on our people is indelible in our minds.

It was obvious that Nigeria was a pariah nation when you took over power in 1999, but you apparently turned around the fortunes of our country to an economic hub in Africa and you handed over our nation as the largest economy in Africa to our current traducers. But due to lack of leadership prowess and poor economic management, our country is now drifting into the abyss. We are now a thing of mockery amongst nations.

During your reign of power you united Nigerians, you seal the gaps of religious diversity, ethnicity and tribalism. You knew how to share our collective resources fairly to even those that never supported or voted for you. You were entrenched in every polling unit.

Democracy and separation of powers was at its best during your time. Fight against corruption knew no partisanship nor ethic coloration at your time.

Good governance was institutionalised and epitomized beyond measure.

Nigeria was a country of pride before comity of nations the world over when you were at the helms of affairs.

We missed your good governance mechanism and administrative sagacity.

I have no doubt that you shall very soon return to power for the betterment of good people.

You are indeed our pride and bastion of honour.

Better days ahead my beloved.
