Fed. Lawmaker, Bagos Distributes Fertilizers, Farm Inputs To Farmers In Jos

The House of Representative Member for Jos South/Jos East at the National Assembly from Plateau state, Hon. Musa Dachung Bagos, of the People’s Demonstric Party (PDP) has charged his Constituent’s to share every constituency devidence courtesy of him, to opposition political party.

“Politicking is over, this is the time for governance, we should be our brother’s keepers, the fertilizers I have brought is my personal contribution to boost food security, national assembly have not roll out it programmes to provide us with constituency allowances for any project.”

Hon Bagos emphasised that “distribution of this fertilizers, is a scheme, and this is the beginning of devidence of my representation, please I implore everyone to share the fertilizer with his or her neighbor, irrespective of party differences.” 

The Legislator gave the advice on Tuesday in Jos, at the PDP Secretariat in Jos South, when he presented a truck load of 600 bags of assorted fertilizers worth 3,300,000 million naira to Constituent’s.

He also said he will not deal with individuals in teams of distributing any relief material, but cooperatives as a means of reaching out to all electorates.

The house of representative member revealed further that he has already presented 23 Bills at the national assembly, among, which is a bill for the establishment of a federal university of Agriculture in Vom, Jos South, to help tackle food insecurity; according to him, the said bill has undergone second reading.

The legislator stated that plans are on the way to distribute improved seedlings to all farmers in the Constituency

The federal representative told the gathering that he has designed a three policy plan to intervian in the Agricultural sector, Education and Healthcare.

Hon. Bagos assured citizens from the 22 Federal Wards in the two local government aress, which made up his constituency, that he will end insecurity bedeviling the people for decades.

Earlier in an address, PDP chairman in Jos South, Hon. Dung Tari, said the gesture of house representative is the first of it kind in recent times.

The party chieftain tasked beneficiaries of the fertilizers to use the fertilizers to ensure a bomfer havest this year (2019).

Hon. Bagos had said his tenure shall open up rular roads to boost development of areas that have been neglected in the past. Distribution of the fertilizers was free, off charge.
