Deputy governor of Plateau state, Prof Sonni Tyoden has assured the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) members posted to the state of adequate security and welfare.
The deputy governor gave the assurance through the directorate, office of the executive governor, by the deputy director press and public afairs Solomon Gujor, in a press statement sent to Journalists in Jos, early hours of Wednesday.
According to the press text, Plateau state government made the pledge during the ritual ceremony to mark end of orientation camp of the 2000 newly posted corp members to Plateau state.
Prof Tyoden however, cautioned the NYSC members to be vigilante wherever they are posted to serve in the state.
“Corps members must be security conscious while in your places of primary assignments, government has put in place adequate security for all citizens.”
The deputy governor who spoke onbehalf of Plateau state government urged the public and cooperate organizations not to reject any corp member posted to serve in their organizations.
“Organization should please accept Youth Corpers designate to service in their places in good faith and provide conducive atmosphere for them to carry out their mandatory national assignments.”
He equally warn Corp members who might rejected where they are posted to serve the state.
“We urged you (Corp members) to accept your postings to your places of primary assignments in good faith without any hesitation.”
