Residents of Kubau Local Government Area in Kaduna State have vowed to ensuring that Governor Nasir el-Rufai is returned in 2019 no matter what it would take.
They expressed this in separate interviews when journalists embarked on a tour of projects being executed, to the 45 kilometres road networks linking four different towns in Kubau LGA on Tuesday, May 8, 2019.
A commuter, Ibrahim Abdulmumini said that he has been plying the Anchau-Dutsenwai 25km highway for years and not just him, but residents if both major towns connected are happy that after neglect they suffered, succour is here at last.
“As it stands now, we are all in earnest prayers for His Excellency to win again in 2019. No sorcerer, gimmick or divination can stop our hard working governor from winning,” he said.
Also speaking, Garba Saleh (Baba Ya’u) who said he has been plying the road for 20 years, praised the quality of work being done.
“The job is good and the quality is okay. We appeal to the governor to keep doing the good job,” he said.
The tour guide, Assistant Director, Kaduna State Ministry of Works, Engineer Zubairu Abubakar said that the entire 45km projects are to gulp N2.5bn.
He explained that it commenced in December 2016 and has an 18 months completion time frame.
Abubakar said that the Anchau-Dutsenwai road is 25km, while that of Maraban Kubau-Kubau is 20km.
“It is a complete asphalt road, with surface dressed shoulders,” he added.
He assured that the first phase of the project would be completed by June ending.
