The Chairman Of Jema’a Local Government Council in Kaduna State, Hon. Peter Danjuma Averik has appeal to the people of the State to shun any form of violence culpable of truncating the peaceful conduct of the forth coming general elections.
Averik stated this while fielding questions from Journalists at the Southern Kaduna Political summit held at New Choice Hotel in Kafanchan over the weekend.
According to him, “the people must endeavour to resist any attempt that will cause violence during and after the elections”.
“We must learn to tolerate one another and avoid usage of abusive words that will cause unrest and destroy our peaceful co-existence as a people,” Averik urged.
He explained that, “Is God that give political offices to whom he feels he want to give.”
“The people must unite with one common voice, with an interest that will bring speedy development for the betterment of the State. To enjoy dividends of democracy we must live peacefully with one another,” he said.
He advised the people to endeavour to collect their PVCs which is their only weapon to elect credible leaders that will champion their course.
