The governor of Gombe state, and a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant for 2019 elections, Ibrahim Danhwambo has said he will restore total peace in all trouble states of Nigeria if given chance to serve as President of Nigeria.
Governor Dankwambo, a retired Accountant General of the federation, stated this Monday in Jos, at PDP Secretariat during his tour of states for his Presidential ambition.
According to governor Dankwambo, he has been able to maintain relative peace in Gombe state as governor for the past eight years.
“I have been able to maintain peace in Gombe state for the past eight years, I will deprecate same in all trouble states in the country if am given opportunity to be President.”
The PDP Presidential hopeful said he will prioritize education, because he has been privileges to attain almost free education.
“I attended my primary school free, my secondary education free, my university and other degrees almost free, I have been privilege and will like same to happen in Nigeria, if am given opportunity to serve as President of this country (Nigeria).”
Speaking on lack of unity in the country, Dankwambo said he will not engage in nepotism and tribalism as President of Nigeria.
“I will not appoint or employ my brothers, cousins, uncles in my administration as some people are currently doing now in Nigeria.”
He attributed alleged maladministration by the present administration in Nigeria to inability of those governing Nigeria by the APC led administration as opportunity’s. “APC political office holders all over in Nigeria are in government by chance.”
On his part, PDP chairman in Plateau state Hon Damishi Sango, a former minister of sport, described APC secretariat in Plateau state as a ghost village.
According to Hon Sango, no activities happening at APC party secretariat, which means PDP was holding economy of the state.
It is on record that PDP Secretariat in Jos in the past two months has been busy with number of aspirants storming the secretariat expressing their interest in contesting various political offices.
So far, the following Presidential aspirants have visited PDP secretariat in Jos; Alhaji Dalhatu Attahiru Bafarawa, Senator Dr Bukola Saraki, Senator Dr. Jonah David Jang, Sule Lamido, Ahamed Makarfi have visited PDP party secretariat in Jos, Plateau state.
