A 30years old woman, Janet Audu has urge a Sharia court sitting in Magajin Hari, Kaduna to help her deal with her ex-husband who continues to beat and harass her in public.
Janet told the court that her former husband ishaku Maigari has been harassing her in public calling her prostitute as well as beating her anytime she tries to banter words with him.
According to her, she and ishaku had been separated for five years now where she was given the custody of her three children whom he couldn’t cater for.
“we have been separated for five years now but he refused to move on a he constantly visit my house and shop to harass me and beat me”, she said.
The complainant however begged the court to take drastic measures on her former husband  so that he would stop harassing her and be a responsible father to his children.
Meanwhile, the judge Mallam Musa Sa’ad asked Janet if she had any witness or witnesses that would testify for her,  but she said there wasn’t any as most of the witness she knew of are afraid to testify against Ishaku.
Earlier the defendant denied all the allegations made against him saying they were not true.
The judge adjourned the case to March 26 for the complainant to present witnesses to court.
